Southend Campus - brand new accommodation
There are 561 rooms in the brand new student accommodation in Southend. The accommodation is just a few minutes walk from the Campus and is arranged with between 8 and 10 students sharing a flat with a communal kitchen. All rooms are en suite with free internet access. Researchers look at how Nintendo Wii Fit can stop elderly fallers.
The project, which is jointly funded by the University and Colchester Hospital University Foundation Trust, will look into whether the Nintendo Wii Fit improves the balance and quality of life of elderly people who are regular fallers.
